Certificate Programs
Our Certificate Programs are designed for practitioners to learn the core knowledge and skills of a therapeutic model at their own pace. Participants can enroll in one or a number of modules to meet their learning needs according to their level of interest and commitment to professional development and training. The courses are organized in one- or two-day workshops or module format. That is, some of the workshops are designed to be completed as stand-alone courses and others, if taken together, lead to completion of a Certificate Program in a designated topic. Using didactic presentations and demonstrations, this program provides participants with essential skills and knowledge to facilitate their own clinical work with clients and their families. For your convenience, most of the workshops are held on Fridays and Saturdays.
- Part 1: Overview of Basic Concepts and Clinical Applications – Participants gain knowledge and understanding of a therapeutic model that will help develop a new perspective in their clinical work with clients. Participants are introduced to an alternative method of formulating cases and conducting intervention with clients.
- Part 2: Essential Skills – Participants learn in detail the essential skills in a therapeutic model, including an understanding of therapeutic processes that are fundamental for conducting sessions with clients.
- Part 3: Case-based Learning – Through various clinical presentations, participants learn to apply their core knowledge and essential skills in a therapeutic model to their work with clients.
- Part 4: Clinical Application in Actual Practice – Participants further develop their clinical competency in applying a therapeutic model in their own practice.
Please note that the completion of a OPTI certificate program does not imply clinical competence, nor does it ensure acceptance of clinical membership with a professional organization. You will receive a certificate of completion in recognition of your participation and achievement.
