Dr. Michele Locke

Dr. Locke is a clinical psychologist who completed her doctoral training at the University of Guelph, where her research focused on understanding the determinants of emotion dysregulation and self-harming behaviour in young people. Beginning in September 2017, Michele became the Program Lead for the Adolescent DBT Program at Broadview Psychology. Michele has applied DBT to youth populations in forensic, secure treatment (inpatient), and outpatient settings with various populations. She works with children, adolescents, transitional aged youth, and parents. She is also trained in providing comprehensive CBT, trauma focused interventions, and evidence based interventions with parents to support their children with managing intense emotions and behaviours. Michele has worked at Broadview Psychology, a private practice in Toronto offering a comprehensive adolescent Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Program, for five years. Dr. Locke has recently provided DBT training and consultation through Broadview to a range of community agencies, including Trillium Health Services, North York General Hospital, CMHA, Broadleaf Health, and Skylark Children, Youth and Families.
