Dr. Karen Roberts
Dr. Karen Roberts is a registered psychologist in clinical psychology with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) has been her primary focus in her clinical training, particularly pertaining to the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Roberts also has experience utilizing CBT with other presenting issues such as trauma, low self-esteem, and perfectionism. Dr. Roberts completed her internship at London Health Sciences Centre where she conducted comprehensive psychological assessments and provided CBT to clients in both individual and group formats. She also completed a practicum at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health where she co-facilitated CBT groups for social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. She has received training in other therapeutic approaches including dialectical-behavioural therapy (DBT) and emotion-focused therapy (EFT), which informs her CBT practice.
